The short version

1 in 10Hackensack patients who raise grief with their therapist. Only 1 in 75 have it as a diagnosis. That gap is the campaign.
8.4%No-show rate on first appointments — worst of any type. Once they attend, 78.8% come back. The first door is the whole problem.
~75%Of Hackensack patients are on Medicaid; 0.4% pay cash. So we lead with coverage, never price.
24.8%Treated for a reaction to a life change — a death, a divorce, a role that shifted. Nearly level with anxiety.

The creatives

Seven formats across the two campaigns: a photo with a headline, a text thread, a voicemail screen, a calendar reminder, a notes app, a Google search, and notes on a fridge door. The six marked no logo / no button are meant to look like something off your own phone or your own fridge — a logo would announce "this is an ad" and kill it. Brand attribution comes from the Sponsored label above the post.

Loss of a loved one

Grief keeps talking to someone who can't answer. The phone is where that happens now — texts nobody reads, a thread nobody can delete.

  1. The thread you can't bring yourself to delete. The messages you still send. Grief doesn't end when the funeral does, and talking about it isn't giving up on anyone. Positive Reset offers grief therapy across New Jersey. Medicaid and most major NJ plans accepted.
  2. Nobody tells you that you'll keep texting them. Or that you'll keep the thread for years. If you're carrying a loss that hasn't gone anywhere, a first conversation with a licensed NJ therapist can help you put it down for a moment.
  3. There is no schedule for grief and no deadline for asking for help with it. Talk to someone in New Jersey who does this every day.

Anticipatory / carer grief

Suciu asked us to reach the people caring for someone who is dying — not just the people who have already lost someone. Nobody else in New Jersey advertises to them. Every competitor talks about bereavement, which is the part that happens afterwards.

  1. Caring for someone through illness, ageing or memory loss can bring a kind of loss that starts long before goodbye. It has a name — anticipatory grief — and support for it exists. Positive Reset offers grief therapy across New Jersey. Medicaid and most major NJ plans accepted.
  2. Their glasses are still on the books. They are still here, and something is already gone. Talking about that does not mean giving up on anyone.
  3. Grief does not wait for a funeral. A first session is a conversation with a licensed New Jersey therapist about what you are carrying.

Loss of a loved one

At Hackensack, only about 1 in 75 patients has grief written down as their official diagnosis. But 1 in 10 actually talks about grief with their therapist. People are already carrying it through the door — they just don't call it grief.

Suciu flagged family therapy as rising demand in our New Jersey Google Ads. The most common reason a family books itself in is the same argument on repeat — not a crisis.

Life-transition grief (divorce, separation, a future that changed)

At Hackensack, a quarter of patients (24.8%) are treated for a reaction to a life change — almost as many as for anxiety. Divorce and separation sit inside that group. Nobody advertises those as grief, but that's what they are.

How we run it

Grief and Family run as separate campaigns — different audiences, different intent. Blended, we'd never see which one works. The eight photo ads carry a button and ask for the booking (BOOK_NOW); the six that look like your own phone or fridge invite a conversation instead (LEARN_MORE), because they reach people who aren't looking for a therapist yet. Three on-image CTAs rotate across the photo ads.
